About Maxi Glamour

Maxi Glamour is a multidisciplinary artist and social theorist blending absurdism, high fantasy, and intersectional liberation. Through language, music, dance and activism, they challenge systemic oppression with wit, whimsy, and wonder. 

Their genre-spanning sound has captivated audiences internationally for over 17 years. In 2019 Maxi became the first drag artist from St. Louis on a drag reality television series.  You can see Maxi featured in the Emmy nominated television series Dragula

 Beyond performance, Maxi is a community organizer in St. Louis, advocating for systems change work and electoral justice. Their philosophical research explores justice, language, Queer theory, ecofeminism, and decolonial thought and is quoted in major publications internationally.
