I have taken the bold step of filing to run for office. My path to this moment was shaped during the pandemic, a period of introspection and ambition. I ventured back into academia, pursuing studies in philosophy with a focus on exploring justice and ethics through the lens of Black Queer Eco-Feminism. Now, as I transition from theory to practice, I feel compelled to apply this rich tapestry of knowledge to real-world challenges.
Over the past fifteen years, my commitment to fostering democracy has led me to collaborate with numerous organizations and campaigns. I've had the privilege of supporting the campaigns of visionary leaders such as Obama, Bernie Sanders, Cori Bush, Tishaura Jones, and Megan Green and advocating for pivotal causes, including ranked-choice voting, marijuana legalization, the decriminalization of sex work, Queer rights, racial justice, prison abolition, and the removal of corporate interests from politics. My research and advocacy have taken me around the globe, from studying policy at the United Nations in Geneva to exploring Indigenous Policy and our connection to nature, all while connecting with progressive minds across the nation.
I embark on a new quest: to serve as the first non-binary committee member for St. Louis. I aim to redefine the role, advocating for a gender-expansive approach that mirrors our community's diversity. There's much to share and even more to learn in the days ahead. My vision is to infuse the Democratic Party with revolutionary thought and innovation, rallying our community around a shared belief in the unparalleled potential of St. Louis. Join me in this journey as we stand together for the city we proudly call home
